Well, today we got the news we dreaded. My sweet caring and innocent wife, Catherine, was diagnosed with onset cervical cancer. She is 44 years old and the example of good health and welfare. Never treats her body poorly, yet she has been inflicted with this issue.
She will have surgery on Wednesday, next - So I ask all my fellow brother and sisters here at ULCM to keep her in your prayers. I am confident that God will carry us through this test, with your help.
Of my own accord...
Almighty Father, God of Love and Hope, please look down upon your child Catherine today. Catherine the mother of Thomas and Noelle. Catherine the caretaker of an autistic child and spiritual family. Catherine a loving member of your church and a disciple of your holy covenant. Lord God, take a moment to hear my prayer and the prayers of my brethren, on her behalf. Heavenly Father most high - grant Catherine your love and good health. Help her through this time of need, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Bless her with your love, compassion, and healing.
I ask this oh Lord, in the name of your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

It sorrows me to hear of your wife's diagnosis Rev Ray. She will be in our thoughts and prayers now, through Wednesday and continuing. I will also pray for strength for you and your kids. Remember love is the most effective healer. Your love, the kids love, her other family and friends, the Heavenly Father, all play a crucial role in her recovery.
You will be in my and my wife's prayers and with good thoughts sent your way and going forward.

Additional and special prayers for Catherine from both myself and the wife.
As this traumatic day unfolds, Catherine, leave your trust with the Lord God. Remember, everything happens according to his design and he will never expose you or your loving family to more than you can endure. I pray for you to come through this day in good shape, on the way to healing, and that you be held in God's hands during this trying time. May God watch over you, Ray and your family during this time. Peace and love Catherine

All went very well today - I am certain the prayers of all helped. Cathy is resting now and seems to be in high spirits. Surgery complete - and the Doctor thinks all is gone and good. 4 months for next test, and then each month for three thereafter will be telling factor. (some items removed today will be further tested to make certain that they had not progressed.)
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

I'm / We're very pleased to hear (read) this!
Today was only an early hurdle in a long race. Our prayers will remain with you, your kids, family and Cathy. She is out the gate to full recovery now, and prayer will keep her through the trials ahead. Rest well and in peace, Cathy. You are not alone.
