Going by What Feels Right

Although I enjoy studying different religions and getting different perspectives of religions, I don’t really subscribe to one individual religion. I read religious studies like I read any other book if something feels right I accept it if it don’t I wont. I have found common denominators in different religions. It mentioned in both The Kabalion and the Bible about throwing pearls to swine.

They did not believe in casting “pearls before swine” But rather held to the teaching “milk for babes; meat for strong men” THE KABALION.

Matthew 7:6
" Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

For those of you who have never heard of The Kabalion it is the study of The Hermetic Philosophy of Ancient Egypt and Greece. It teaches about Hermes Trismegistus whose name means The Great Great or Trice Great Wisdom.

It teaches about The Seven Hermetic Principles.

The principle of Mentalism

The principle of correspondence

The principle of vibration

The principle of polarity

The principle of rhythm

The principle of cause and effect

The principle of gender.

Hermes Trismegistus also is famous for writing the Emerald Tablet. In fact, whenever you hear me refer to God as “The All” I got that from The Kabalion.

Even the Greatest Wisdom of the Buddha doesn’t all settle right with me. I see nothing wrong with desire as long as it is a desire given to you by God. However, there are many great and wonderful things to learn through the studies.

I don’t know that I have found anything that does not flow with me in studying The Kabalion or Hermes Trismegistus. However, I also have not studied all there is to know in that belief.

Pretty much, what I am trying to say is that I believe truth is written in our hearts. We can feel when something feels right and when it doesn’t. Often things will come to us on its own sometime later you may even run across a study that confirms it.

I like to study different beliefs to get an understanding of different ideas. Often I will read something that will remind me of something I knew and have forgotten. (Sense we never really forget perhaps its better said I have not thought about in a long time.) and needed to be reminded of. Other times studying something will give me a new slant on things. I liked what To`na Wanagi said about the medicine wheel. That is a new thought I will probably look into later.

For the most part, sense we are all on our own path the path we need at this time in our lives. My advice would be to follow what feels right and your heart. Do not try to force something that does not feel right. Don’t judge what feels right in others hearts because there on their own path. After all it is God who puts these things in our hearts.

I love to read what others think because it gives me something to think about…

Have a nice day Sincerely Reverend Penny J Ragan.

A nice well thought through statement, Rev Penny.

If more of us would adhere to "What feels right" in our daily lives, regardless of individual belief system, we would all be better off.

All of the oil our solders are falling right and left for is pointless. Look at Germany, within the next year they will be completely Solar powered, and I forget the name of another country, but i think its Newfunland, they have HUGE windmills in the middle of the ocean, and thats how theyre powered. America is the number one user and burner of oil in the world. We put out more stuff in the air in three years than Germany does in ten. So what do you think about the U.S. changing to Solar power, or any other power than oil?

Sorry but this is not the right place to post that question. If there is no right thread you should make one specifically for it as it is a awesome question but we need to stay on topic with threads that are posted and not go off course. Not being mean but I am a member of a few political forums and they always twist away from the original thread.
