I just wanted to know can I marry myself to a woman, and is it legal. simple question.

no another generally has to perform the ceremony

There have been some that have performed the marriage for themselves. This said it is never looked on favorably and in some if not most states they may have rules frowning on this.

The last minister I am aware of having performed his own marriages to his wives was the leader of the group in Waco, Texas. I believe he was looked upon unfavorably, by Janet Reno. Of course most of us military types at the time looked unfavorably on her as well.

If you can't find a minister to do the honours for you what is it that you are asking to have done and what about it is making it difficult?

I used to joke with my girlfriend (now my wife) that I would do the officiate duties to save us money on the wedding. She wouldn't go for it. lol.

The only (christian) demonination I know of that allows self-marriage is the Quakers. The two partners stand before the congregation and formally announce their intention to be husband and wife. Everyone in attendance then signs the certificate as witnesses. There is no "officiant" other than that.

As I am an Ex-Comic (by Ex I mean I no longer make money at it regularly) I find it strange no one caught the pun in the original question... SO I will address the BIGGER question at hand...

Beside the fact that others have stated you should consider having another perform the ritual -- it is also important that the WOMAN in question be aware that you are MARRYING yourself to her.

Best of Luck and God Bless your happiness.
