Rev Michael Milson
My family-inlaws are struggling at the moment, life has kind of thrown them a few bumps and they find themselves several months behind on their house payments, electric bills, and other utilities as well as struggling to find more income to help pay these bills, jobs are hard to come by and work for their business which they run is not as good as it used to be.

They support their son and his wife who live with them and have 2 children of their own and they also have myself and my wife (their daughter) living with them, there are a lot of medical problems between us all and everyone is having a really hard time.

Lots of stuff is getting sold to try and pay bills and we are all out looking for sources of income, jobs, benefits, any help we can find.

So i am praying that some good fortune comes our way and that we manage to find work and that their business picks up and that we manage to get any and all help we can find to keep the bills paid and keep this roof over our heads, with 2 babies in the house one a year old almost and one ready to pop out in a few months, things could get harder if we do not find the help and support we need and have some luck finding work.

Whats even harder is with all the medical issues in the family some of the family members cant work and currently cannot get benefits either but are trying to, babies to look after and failing health, problems with technology and business equipment causing the business to not do as well as it could, combined with the lack of customers of late due to the state of the economy, everything looks very bleak.

I have hope and believe if we all pull together and try we will succeed with a little help from god and some good hearted people along the way i am sure things will slowly get better.

Thanks for reading and my prayers go out to anyone who needs them.

Dear Friend; I personally do not believe that God answers prayers in dollars and cents, but I do know that He does hear our petitions of need. I am also sure that whatever might befall us, somewhere in that mix is God's Will being elevated, and man's will being humbled. Whatever the case may be, it is God's Will and purpose that will be done and not the will of mankind. And when I pray for anything, I always ask that "Thy Will, not mine, be done." Because God's knows what we need, you might also ask Him for Clarity, Wisdom, and Illumination concerning the troubles that have befallen your family. Through this, you will receive a greater understanding of all these events and recognize there are lessons to be learned and messages to be heard.

In 1989, after a serious back injury, I lost my business, my vehicles, could no longer care for my daughters, sending them back to live with my ex, and eventually lost my home and landed on the street living along a midwest river in the middle of the winter in a wheelchair. I not only suvived, but excelled through the painful lessons I learned being homeless. I heard the messages God was giving and He directed my path to a place, a garden in my mind, where I could thrive. I have walked the "Way of the Spirit" ever since and experience immeasurable joy through serving Him. I am no longer in the wheelchair, but I experience terrible pain daily....and I embrace it, without medications or therapy. Just as God instructed Paul's complaint of his own physical affliction, "My Grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness". Paul goes on to say, "Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong." Can you hear the words of this apostle?

I do not know what faith you are or what religion you migt belong to, but one thing is certain; The words of wisdom comes from the hearts and minds of many and diverse people around the world. And if one hears words that strike and tug at his own heart to be truth, then regardless of institution of faith or doctrine, a man would be foolish not to listen. I will pray that our Creator's Will is done in the lives of you and your family and that God will reveal Himself to you as to His purpose. God's Love and Peace to you.....To`na Wanagi

Hi and thanks for your reply, i am sorry to hear about the troubls you have gone through in life, as for our own issues, i never asked for dollars and cents as you put it i prayed that things would work out that people would get what they need to keep things going in life like a job etc, nothing wrong with that in my belief (im a christian), i also do not believe that god is trying to teach us a lesson by making us lose our home and possetions and business, from my understanding god doesnt do such evil things as to take peoples lives and turn them upside down and inside out, thats the work of evil, but anyway i thank you for your words and for taking the time to respond to my post

God Bless

Response; Please don't feel sorry for my troubles. I'm grateful for the experiences, many of my own making. The rest were circumstances beyond my control and I have no remorse or regrets for them either. I'm sure you are "pounding the pavement" searching for employment, and that is our responsibility and within our control.

i also do not believe that god is trying to teach us a lesson by making us lose our home and possetions and business, from my understanding god doesnt do such evil things as to take peoples lives and turn them upside down and inside out, thats the work of evil, but anyway i thank you for your words and for taking the time to respond to my post

Response; Nor do I. What I said was that there is a lesson and a message in all things that involve us. I did not say God makes anything devastating deliberately happen to us. That would violate our own free will which was given to us, by Him. Usually, as I said above, many things are of our own making, i.e. bad business decisions, wrong investments, despair and depression wrought out of worry, lack of faith, living beyond our means, etc., many of which we see all around us during this time of economic upheaval. I also do not believe that "evil" is the cause of all bad things. Just as I have said, we are frequently the cause of our own demise. Mankind has been at it since he stood upright and he continues to make poor decisions that dramatically affect our world.

God Bless You too!.....To`na Wanagi

Dear Rev. Michael Milson,

Please try dear Brother, not to look at things in terms of luck, either bad or good. Both those things which we desire and fear are brought to us with the loving will of God. I know it is difficult to believe during such trials in your life, but God does truly love you, and you are not alone.
Believe there is a goodly purpose to all you and your family are experiencing. Though this may not be the path you wished for, know that is far better than the one you thought was best.
There are many, myself included, who see your experiences as blessings rather than punishments. We see the blessing of your strength to endure what would have broken the spirit of most others. We see the blessing of the true riches you have by evidence of the closeness of so much family. We see the blessing of new life.
It is those who forsake God that are denied the opportunities to grow, reflect, to be humbled. For without such opportunities, ones life counts only for the existence of the present, and dies with their carcass till it is dust and nothing more. But for those who are given the blessings of growth, reflection, and humility; these are His children, and they may work and suffer, they may lament and pain, they may be persecuted and tried. But they will suffer these things to honor God’s will, and their life will have meaning in their devotion, and they will never see death.
Now it is true, some may have a difficult time to look to the day of their salvation when they are in so much pain now, and I do not deny you your tears. But I tell you true, our Father knows of your suffering, and He has already set in motion your comfort, long before you even knew you were in distress. Hold fast to your loved ones and trust God to see you through.
My prayers to God are with you. Though you are weary and in despair, don’t give up, God and His love is with you always.

May God continue to bless you and bring you peace.

Rev. Campbell.
