Good Day:
I live in Canada and would like to know if anyone can give me their experience of performing wedding ceremonies in this country; Province of British Columbia, as an ordained Universal Life Church member.

All information is welcomed. Thank you.

Dear Sandover,

Since we sorta covered this question, please excuse my laziness, but I took the liberty to cut and paste past responses for you as these were a bit buried. The last cut and paste that I added was from another member, and I myself tried the link as suggested, since I am from Canada too. Unfortunately, in trying the link, I received a questionnaire and was informed that I would be on the waiting list should any openings come up in my area. You may try too, and perhaps my have better luck. Hope this helps!

God’s blessings,

Rev. Campbell.

“Welcome to the forum.
To answer you question, the answer I know of so far is No Way. Being Canadian myself, I had the same questions to various provincial vital statistics; all replied that our ministry with the ULC would not be recognized unless we were to manage our own ULC church for 15-25years, or if we were affiliated with a mainstream religion in existence that is recognized by the Queens church of England.
I have heard rumours of a thriving group of ULC ministers in Toronto, and I have written to one who lives there. Though I have heard nothing in return, you may do the same by looking at the directories of ULC ministers and contacting them yourself. Perhaps, if they do exist, we can find out how they have thrived and if the would be interested in affiliated churches in other provinces.
Sorry I could not bring you better news, but I believe that if we cannot marry nor have our own church, there is much service we can still do in the name of our God.”
