The Lord’s Crucifixion
Praise Offering:
**Lord, whose love in humble service, bore the weight of human need;
Whom, upon the cross forsaken, showed us mercy's perfect deed;
We, Your servants, bring You worship; not of voice alone but heart;
Consecrating to Your purpose every gift which You impart!
As we worship grant us vision 'til Your love's revealing light;
'Til the height, the depth, the width of Your great love dawns in our sight; making known the needs and burdens Your compassion bids us bear; stirring us to faithful service, Your abundant life to share!
***Forward from the lost house Israel, unto Pilate’s palisade;
No one offering to defend You, not one word to give You aid;
Stripped and whipped for our offenses, You marched on to Calvary;
In a tomb laid unattended, waiting for God faithfully!
Sin Offering:
**Where charity and love prevail, there God is ever found!
Brought we together by His love, by love are we thus bound!
Let strife among us be unknown; let all contention cease;
Be ours the task to live in love, that we may know His peace!
Forgive we now each other’s faults, as we our faults confess;
That we may love each other well in Christian holiness!
Glory Offering:
**Oh, sacred head surrounded by crown of piercing thorns;
Oh, bleeding body wounded; reviled and put to scorn.
The curse of death upon You, the gift of life decayed;
Yet, angel hosts adored You, and at Your cross they prayed!
***In this, Your hour of passion, Your glory disappeared;
In nakedness and shame You were broken and then speared.
Your testament to Glory, to die this death of shame;
So sinners may be risen that call upon Your name!
The glory of Your dying upon that Roman cross,
Revealed to us God’s love and we count as gain not loss!
For, by Your stripes we’re healed and by Your death we know life!
Your glory is among us, the church is now Your wife!

Sermon
Faith Offering: Philippians 2: 6 – 11: “Though He was in the form of God, Jesus did not deem equality with God something to be grasped at; rather, He emptied Himself, and took the form of a slave, being born in the likeness of men. He was known to be of human estate, and it was thus that He humbled Himself, obediently accepting even death, death on a cross. Because of this God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name that is above all other names. So that, at Jesus’ name, every knee must bend, in the heavens, on the Earth, and under the Earth, and every tongue proclaim, to the glory of God the Father: JESUS CHRIST IS LORD!”
(Minister): Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit…
(Congregation): As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be
forever… AMEN!
Prayer Offering: The Response Is: “Lord, hear our prayer…”
Presentation Offering:
**On a hill far away, stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame;
But I love that old cross where God’s dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain!
(Refrain) I will cherish the old rugged cross,
‘Til my sorrows, at last, I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it one day for a crown!
Oh that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
Has a marvelous attraction for me;
For ‘twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died
To pardon and sanctify me! (Refrain)
To that old rugged cross let us ever be true,
Its shame and reproach gladly bear;
Then He’ll call us one day to our home far away,
Where His glory forever we’ll share! (Refrain)
Prayer Offering: “Our Father…” (Please Stand)
Peace Offering: (Please Be Seated After The Peace Offering)
Communion Offering:
**Were you there when they crucified the Lord?
Were you there when they crucified the Lord?
Oh… Sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble…
Were you there when they crucified the Lord?
Were you there when they nailed Him to the tree?
Were you there when they nailed Him to the tree?
Oh… Sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble…
Were you there when they nailed Him to the tree?
Were you there when they laid Him in the tomb?
Were you there when they laid Him in the tomb?
Oh… Sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble…
Were you there when they laid Him in the tomb?
Testimony Offering: Anyone is welcome to share testimony.
Incense Offering:
**Jesus, remember me, when You come into Your kingdom;
Jesus, remember me, when You come into Your kingdom.
***Jesus, please plead for me, when You come unto Your Father;
Jesus, please plead for me, when You come unto Your Father.
Jesus, live on in me, fill me with Your Father’s Spirit;
Jesus, live on in me, fill me with Your Father’s Spirit!
Benediction Offering: Luke 2:29-32 “Lord, now You let Your servant go in peace; Your Word has been fulfilled! My own eyes have seen the salvation which You have prepared in the sight of every people; a light to reveal You to the nations, and the glory of Your people Israel!”
