I find myself in a position where I want to get proof of ordination (I may be officiating a wedding soon) but it requires an ordination date.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what my ordination date is. I can only guess it was 5-10 years ago.

I don't really have the time to wait 60 days to be re-ordained (as the marriage license has already been issued). Do I stand a chance of getting either the ordination date looked up (I have a REALLY unusual name) or ordination in time or should I tell my friend to find someone else.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Red

You could do your friends a favor as well as yourself.

Placed directly at the top of most all pages on this forum site, there are (3) three orange TAB's that are actually clickable links.

The middle one read's FREE ONLINE ORDINATIONS.

I suggest you click that and be sure to have your printer on so you can PRINT OUT your Certificate of Ordination.

True it will have a new date of ordination on it, and you can still go back to Headquarters and request your original certificate from back when if you still want a copy of it. However this will get you up to date and legal as a beagle in time for your friends wedding. Also, there is no waiting once you have been Ordained.

Hope this helps

Respectfully

Thank you for the reply Rev Jack.

I got a phone call today from Amanda at the home church in Modesto and she gave me my ordination date over the phone.

Someone at the Monastery forwarded my request on.

All the help very much appreciated.

Thanks all!

They also looked mine up for me, bless them. It only took about a week I think. :)

I faxed the Main church, but who else do I contact to help me look up my ordination?

Thanks,

Rev. Joseph
