Dear Heavenly Father, end these fires and stop the loss of lives they are taking. Many have died in their own homes, burned alive; many have died in their cars trying to escape, baked alive. Aid those who are fighting to extinguish these fires; send your life-giving water in rain for the area; protect those who are yet in danger; comfort those who have lost loved ones; comfort those who suffer from burns; comfort those who have lost their possessions. Please, dear Lord; end this Hell on Earth; do not allow more to die such terrible deaths; take those who have died unto Yourself; help those who have lost their homes to be reassured by their insurance companies that all will be restored; let it rain as in the monsoons and wash the blackened horror from the land. Merciful God, hear our prayers and answer them, for they are made in the name of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and Holy Spirit as one God, forever and ever; Amen.

I have prayed for both those who remain and for those who are called to our Father.
