Hello. A friend of mine recently asked me to preform a marriage next year for him. This is to take place in Butler county (close to Pittsburg). I've read a few of the threads on here and must admit I'm a bit confused. I see the York case posed some issues, but where does that stand now? Is there anything specific to PA that I should be aware of before submitting my application for ordainment?

Has there been any resolution on this matter? Does anyone know about Fayette Co. PA?

I was so shocked to see someone from Fayette County on here. I'm in Washington County. I'm not sure where PA stands. A Bucks County judge upheld a ULC marriage, but his decision to allow ULC marriages is only good in Bucks County. The only thing I can think of for you to do would be to contact the Register of Wills. I found the information on the Fayette County website for you. Here is the link:
