God has promised to cause people to prosper in their soul; not in worldly goods. Love of money and the dependence on money is not of God.

If you will allow, God shall provide for all your needs. Not your wants, but your needs.

I don't think there's anything wrong with asking God for money. If God doesn't think it's in your best interest, you won't get it. No harm in asking.

Asking God for money instead of asking God for the fulfilling of His promise shows where the heart is and what is honored more by the seeker; God or money.
