I am writing this to address some issues brought up about my missionary work for the Edenic Temple of Judeo-Christo Paganism. As many know, my work has been to the AB/Dl community. It has always been my intent to offer the hand of fellowship to them, to let the know Jesus loves them. The purpose of this essay is manifold; to address why I don’t insist that Infantilism is necessary a sin, and what my approach to this topic is.
First, it is important to define, what is and is not proper in the eyes of the Edenic Temple of Judeo-Christian Paganism. The Temple holds that the best relationships are ones that are monogamous in nature. We do not believe in promiscuity is either the best approach to sexual relationships, or the healthiest in terms of keeping away deadly S.T.D’s.
We do believe that homosexual and heterosexual relationships that are monogamous are the model to follow. This precludes any behavior, whether it is monogamous or otherwise, that harms others or infringes on their rights. Such practices would include bestiality, necrophilia, pedophilia and other implicitly aggressive or violating practices.
This being so, we do NOT condemn cross-dressing, transvestvism or any other sexual activity that occurs in the context of a heterosexual or homosexual, monogamous relationship.
This being so, we do not AUTOMATICALLY recognize infantilism as being unethical or sinful. The Bible itself has very little to say on the subject it’s self. It does note that there is to be spiritual growth, and that one is to be transformed, spiritually as one grows in G_d. However, for the specific act it says nothing. The Contemporary Testament, which pertains to today, says only that we have the right to “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness”. As such, it would seem to imply that if this is one way for a person to pursue happiness, more power to them.
A perusal of the laws of the United States of America, from which the Contemporary Testament originated, does not have any law or criminal penalty tied to the wearing of adult sized infant clothes or diapers. It does cover theft, murder, pedophilia and rape. The Temple is in complete agreement with the laws of the United States of America as such.
Nor is their any mention, positive or negative, in the Ten Commandments in the Old Testament. Therefore, one who would practice infantilism is not condemned by Yahweh, the World Creator.
In the New Testament, there are some positive aspects to being childlike related. For instance: 1 Peter 2:2 2”: Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.” Here the believer is encouraged to behave, in the spiritual sense, like an infant desiring to nurse. Notice it does not condemn this attitude, nor does the Apostle say those with that attitude is. Again in Mathew 11:25-29, Jesus uses the image of children or being child like in a positive manner: 25 At that time Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. 26Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure. 27"All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. 28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” If being child like, and by extension, infantilism is evil, why does Jesus himself refer to G-d as “Abba”, a term different then the one the Jews used for reference to G_d? Abba is the phrase that a small Jewish child in Jesus’ time would address their father. The nearest English version would be “Papa” and “Daddy”. See http://www.dominicos.org/predicacion/ej ... file43.htm. The Apostle Paul himself says in Romans 8:15 : For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship And by him we cry, "Abba, Father. If Paul and Jesus find it perfectly ok to refer to G-d as “Papa” and “Daddy”, then why should a person who likes to act like a child sometimes be considered evil? In fact it is the very Spirit of G-d that makes us respond like a child to G-d : Galatians 4:6 “Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father.". In fact, the idea of being a child in regards to G_d is mentioned ten times in the New Testament: John 1:12 , John 11:52 , Romans 8:21, Romans 8:21, Philippians 2:15 , 1 John 2:28 , 1 John 3:1, 1 John 3:2 , 1 John 3:10 , 1 John 5:2 .
If infantilism is a sin, Where is the verse that says so? In fact, there are many expression of a child like or infantile attitude in the New Testament, from the terms used to describe our adoption by G_d, to the way Jesus referred to the Most High, to whom Jesus said we must be like if we wanted to be in the Kingdom of G_d. In fact Jesus said we had to imitate little children if we wanted to have any hope of obtaining the Kingdom of G_d : Luke 18:17 :”I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." In fact, the rejection of AB/Dl people would seem to be considered negative by Jesus by extension of this verse: Luke 9:48: “Then he said to them, "Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For he who is least among you all—he is the greatest.".
There is therefore no reason for non Ab/Dl people to reject us. We are all children of God in his eyes. Besides that which the Scripture does not forbid is open for all to do>Let us remember that G_d is our Heavenly Papa and receive AB/Dl people with a welcoming spirit.
